4 Hands-On Workshops for In-Depth Learning
The Wednesday workshop will feature 90 minute courses on building mobile apps with WordPress, theming using the WordPress API, proper implementation of TLS, and running proper tests for your WordPress plugins. The spots are very limited for the Wednesday workshop at this point and this is only available to those who purchase a full conference ticket.
Fabulous Food
For most conferences you’re on your own for meals, but not at LoopConf. Enjoy catered meals together on Thursday and Friday for breakfast and lunch, and a dinner with everybody on Thursday night. These meals are part of your conference ticket. We won’t be skimping here in any way. Bring your Vegas appetites. We left Friday night open, as many people will be flying out. Additionally, we wanted everyone else to have a chance to get out on the town and taste some of the other parts of Vegas.
Attendance to the LoopParty on Thursday Night
We will be throwing a stellar party for all attendees thanks to our premier sponsor, Siteground. This isn’t just a cocktail mixer. LoopConf will feature live entertainment poolside (think magicians, a band, or a standup comic. It’s still TBD but we guarantee it won’t disappoint!), along with some awesome snacks and adult (or otherwise) beverages.
Attendance to the Hack Nights on Wednesday & Friday Nights
Hack nights are going to include some seriously geeky fun. Details are still being finalized but things we’re tossing around are video game tourneys, board game fun (think Settlers of Catan or Exploding Kittens!), Sphero or Raspberry Pi hacking, etc. If you have something you’d like us to consider, please get in touch!
Ground Transportation to and From the Las Vegas Strip
If you’d like to go enjoy downtown on your own or with a group of friends, transportation to and from the venue will be included free of charge. The Westin has a hotel shuttle that goes to it’s downtown property every thirty minutes. If you want to cruise after hours or between shuttle times, a cab ride to downtime is about $50 each way, so be sure to car pool when you can.
Opportunities to Take a Break & Socialize
Hang out with amazingly talented and brilliant people. Talk to them about their interests, code, how they end up with that awesome haircut, and so much more. The Westin Lake Las Vegas is a super relaxing environment that just screams “everybody chill and have a good time”. (It probably doesn’t scream)

What Other Costs Can I Expect?
While we've provided a ton of things in the base ticket price, there's probably going to be a few extra expenses for you to keep in mind. Here's a quick breakdown of everything you can expect to pay for your attendance at LoopConf:
Airfare (or bus far or gasoline)
You'll have to get to Las Vegas and fees obviously vary depending on your mode of transportation and where you're coming from.
Ground transportation
Once you land at McCarran airport (LAS) you'll need to hail a cab (Uber isn't available in Vegas... yet) or group together and get a SuperShuttle (this is the cheapest method). Cab fare to the hotel is $30-40. Realistically you could remain at the conference center for the rest of your stay in Vegas as meals, entertainment, etc. are all available right there. If you choose to venture into downtown, the hotel has a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes, or you can pay a $50-60 one way cab fare to go downtown.
Hotel
The nice thing about the hotel is that you don't have to shop. We've been guaranteed the lowest available rate, and are lower than the rates of all the surrounding hotels. The hotel is 155.68 per night and that includes taxes, fees, everything.
Meals on your own
The only meals you would need to purchase are if you arrive for Dinner on Wednesday night, and if you’re staying Friday night (no meals will be provided after lunch on Friday).
Total
The average attendee is probably going to spend about $1500 total. That accounts for $500 of airfare, $675 for the ticket itself, and an additional $310 for two nights at the hotel.
